Klaai is built and owned by Buzzerboy, a company based in Canada. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed Klaai so that your financial data stays yours.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email, company details, and role.
- Bookkeeping data — accounts, invoices, receipts, customers, vendors, and journal entries you or Claude create.
- Documents you forward — files sent to your receipts inbox address, processed into receipts.
- Usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to provide bookkeeping features, let Claude record and categorize transactions on your behalf, generate reports, secure your account, and provide support. We do not sell your data.
3. Where your data lives
Data is stored on Canadian or approved cloud infrastructure. On eligible plans you can request a dedicated database, and Enterprise customers may bring their own database or run a private deployment so their data never leaves their own environment.
4. AI processing
Klaai uses Claude to read documents and draft transactions. Content you submit is processed to produce bookkeeping entries for your review. You remain in control: entries recorded by Claude are flagged for your approval.
5. Data retention & export
You can export your books at any time. If you close your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by Canadian tax or legal obligations.
6. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to applicable law (including PIPEDA). Contact us to make a request.
